  1. So it's not democratic at all, in practice?
  2. Must be pretty easy to miss this when you're making a post, huh?
  3. > Make an inflammatory claim in order to get a reaction from others >> Back it up with "its just a joke" when you are met with the slightest push back. >>> ??? >>> Profit. In all of fairness, UnknownShadow has put a lot of effort into the client over the years with little to no thank-yous from the community. There is literally nothing else to add to ClassiCube that servers couldn't already do other than the occasional bug fixes and making it work on other platforms (see Wii, 3DS, etc. port)
  4. In case you didn't see this part:
  5. This could make for a really good anti-map stealing mechanism.
  6. The big flashing texts are changed depending on the time of the year (think chromie seasons). Not necessarily. ClassiCube has shown up on the front page of Google search results for several years before this forum was created. The banner that shows up when you make a post.
  7. This angry-looking purple cat keeps following me and harassing me as I mine for wood logs with my netherite ingot. Any suggestions?
  8. or... just open MCGalaxy from your tray and click on Shutdown in the app?
  9. "Trailer" in the forum title but no video. Anyways, I wouldn't hire people to fill staff positions right off the forums unless you are 100% sure they're competent enough to moderate.
  10. I'm not too sure if that will be a common topic on a forum for a Minecraft Classic clone.
  11. BTW i use arch and am compiling gentoo as we speak. see you later, kiddo. (this is purely satirical, please don't @ me)
  12. For some reason, I doubt that you found the entire source code for Minecraft, considering that you linked to a command parser that is developed by Mojang.
  13. Good thinking on your part by Chromie-proofing this with requiring knowledge in Linux and ssh.
  14. Step one is to stop using a Chromebook. You can start by going to Amazon. Ok, but seriously, if I remember correctly, the web version of the client will not save anything unless your cookie settings are messed up. In my testing, it saved a handful of my web client settings for me. You might have to check your browser settings and ensure that you can accept cookies from this website.
  15. I like Not Awesome 2, Pussaint Royale, and The Kingdom of Upyre. These servers are concrete proof of what you can accomplish when people put effort into making their servers as well as employing a competent group of volunteers to help moderate and enforce the rules instead of free-ranking people and being inactive.
  16. The fact that some people on here that run their servers this way concerns me.

  18. Most computers don't come with Linux shipped, but 🤷‍♂️
  19. I do not mean to come off as harsh, but we got to lay some truth here. Please don't host a server if you only have a Chromebook. If you have an actual idea on making a unique server that isn't every other freebuild servers copied-and-pasted, you should try doing some research and start with getting a Windows computer.
  20. I love the Aeather mod, mainly for nostalgia, However, I use OptiFine daily.
  21. Basically what @aleksb385 said, but I do not recommend since some people will not see the text at all if they changed their client settings.
  22. Why are we still talking about something that does not exist? This is simply just a waste of time. There are tons of things we could be doing instead of debating who this mysterious "Andrew P H" is. This entire thread is simply implying the existence of AndrewPH , by banning "himself", which is also a paradox. You can have one or the other, but you cannot have both.
  23. I'd like to add on to this: Source: Wikipedia, 2nd paragraph. Minecraft was available online, however it used a Java applet, which is a very different breed compared to JavaScript.
  24. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of it being a secret if you announce it? 🤔
  25. I quite enjoy my head being decapitated for the sole purpose of display on a forums. Thank you, Andrew "PH".
