Smallworld is a new map some NA2 staff and I worked on this past summer, making it the 15th adventure series in the larger Shrine series of maps. I decided to record some of the parkour challenge courses featured on the map because I think it's pretty unique gameplay for Classicube, using some mechanics like walljumping, wallrunning, pole vaulting, dashing, climbing etc. to make entirely new types of parkour not seen in classic creative before. Shoutouts to the mario64 plugin that beat me to the punch, but I dunno if there have been any maps extensively developed for that. If you want to check Smallworld out, it's part of an adventure map on NA2 that starts at the diner in the doomtown map.

Not everyone uses discord or pays attention to the announcements so I wanted to let it be known here too. Not Awesome's 10th Anniversary Event is coming up 13 hours from this post. We'll be celebrating the server becoming 10 years old! To be more specific it will begin around 4:00pm PST / 7:00 pm EST / 12:00am UTC (Saturday for NA, generally Sunday outside of NA). To celebrate, we'll be commemorating the event with a group photo and more. If you'd like to be one among the many familiar classicube faces, we hope to see you there.

An addendum on references and their efficacy in a few images: Why you should be using references: Think of building as speaking a language. If you only conversed with yourself you would not learn much, if anything at all. If you engage with other sources and incorporate their vocabulary (in this case, a visual vocabulary) you will have an overall more vibrant and effective means of expressing yourself. This doesn't stop at 1 for 1 replication though, as concepts can be applied in varying contexts beyond what is just in the image you are referencing -- this is the basis of creativity. Applying your vocabulary in different contexts to see what works, often to create something new and original, is an exercise in practicing that creativity. The power of references is ultimately in the fact that they allow you to go beyond your own perspective. If you want to know what a classical Greek temple looks like, it's much more reliable to search for it than to try to recall from your own memory the idea of a Greek temple.

Play on reputable servers and you won't have a problem. When you play on servers owned by immature people, you will be subject to immature moderation and bans.
