How do I save the server so that it can be restored the next day?

What are you asking? If you want to remember what server you played on, then you need to write its name down somewhere. Or try clicking the "resume" option from the launcher.

No, I created a server and want to save it so that I can start it again the next day

mcgalaxy saves automatically, just do /shutdown, it will saves all files before turning off

but when I turn it back on everything disappears ._.

well, let's create a server for half an hour, play, and solve problems with the backup.

Sorry if I'm late, and you may have already been answered by now, but I had this problem at one point too.

You need to unzip the Server files out of the .zip file and move them into a separate folder.
