ZhimaJi Posted January 17 Can't say I could tell you the best computer operating system, but I have had a good time using Debian 12, which is my current OS. I liked MX Linux, which I used before, but had some issues with specific things. Didn't have a good time with Linux Mint, and the Windows operating systems get called Wangblows for a reason. RainZhang Posted January 18 I like Ubuntu Cinnamon the most, but sometimes it can't work on lower end computers, so I use Manjaro XFCE for those. Linux Mint is great too. Share this post Link to post

Fluxie Posted February 16 Linux Mint with XFCE is my daily driver. XFCE is very lightweight compared to Cinnamon and GNOME and I like its customizability a lot more than Cinnamon or GNOME. I even have a theme that makes my entire system look and even feel like Windows 95, its really good. I also have a shit ton of respect for Debian and used it as a daily driver for months after using Linux Mint before eventually switching back to Linux Mint for the convenience. Ubuntu is almost fine outside of the fact that it's run by a for-profit company (Canonical) so I stay as far the fuck away from it as I possibly can. Linux Mint is basically Ubuntu but without all of Canonical's bullshit. If you held me at gunpoint and forced me to use Windows, I would pick Windows 7 with all the service packs because it still supports some software. It's really unfortunate that Steam isn't supported on Windows 7 anymore though (if literally anything supported Windows XP anymore, I would pick that instead) Share this post Link to post
Picat Posted February 16 There are no good operating systems. Making rocks really flat and putting lightning into them to trick them into thinking was an act against god. We must destroy all computers. 1 2 Share this post Link to post
