How do i animate my custom model?

Hello classicube fourm! I need help when it comes to creating custom models. i cant figure out how to make a part spin. i know you have to name the part something, but i cant remember what. please help, or better yet, please post a tutorial video or document explaining how to add specail animations to my models. I would greatly apprecate it,
