How can I put my current skin in block bench skins making so I can custom it?

go to your profile skin and hit download my skin and download it
right click the skin texture in blockbench
hit replace
replace with your skin

What do I do if it says

Why does my texture not show up in the UV editor?

Make sure that you are loading textures from your hard drive. Loading textures from servers or usb drives can cause problems.
