Texture Help!

How do you make say, the model 'zombie' have a certain skin defined in your texture pack? Does anyone know how? I know it's possible because the redux2 texture pack on NA2 has custom creeper, zombie, etc skins.

And is there a way to get it on garbage.loan? Also, bonus: Can you force a custom model to have a skin on /model?
