16 hours ago16 hr I don't know of any free places to host the service, but for fairly inexpensive you can snag yourself a fairly low tier VPS and run it on there. testing things out I started up the standalone server on my VPS and used very little resources to do it. clearly that method takes money and the ability to work with linux terminals remotely. If you just want some friends and family to be able to join your locally hosted server you could look into services like tailscale to allow them to be able to get to your server on your computer.
