What are these extra blocks in the bottom of the terrain in classicube.zip?

The title says it all, I want goodly to answer this because he made the textures.

The only purpose of the textures at the bottom is for convenience if someone is using the texture pack and wants to add some custom blocks. They are just a few basic textures which I think are generally useful
