April 20Apr 20 I'm currently making a modloader for ClassiCube (trying to, at least).It will allow a modder to modify practically everything in the game (the plugin system is quite limited, it doesn't give you much).Currently planned:OBJ model loading for custom 3D modelsAbility to modify functions (while the game is running)Ability for mods to communicate with each other (like in Minecraft mods)My question is;Would anyone be interested in it?Even if no one is, I will still continue this as a personal project, but I still want to know if there is any interest in a project like this.EDIT: If I ever manage to get something working, I'll be posting about it on Techno Babble Edited April 27Apr 27 by Dafhatas Capitalisation & Clarification
8 hours ago8 hr Scope could be cool, but the magic of plugins as they exist right now still has to be appreciated... The API might be limited, but I like it. There's something special about how plugins exist solely on top of an unmodified client and can still be as powerful as they are.On the other hand... porting shaderpacks to classicube WOULD be awful cool and would only be possible from a modloader....
I'm currently making a modloader for ClassiCube (trying to, at least).
It will allow a modder to modify practically everything in the game (the plugin system is quite limited, it doesn't give you much).
Currently planned:
OBJ model loading for custom 3D models
Ability to modify functions (while the game is running)
Ability for mods to communicate with each other (like in Minecraft mods)
My question is;
Would anyone be interested in it?
Even if no one is, I will still continue this as a personal project, but I still want to know if there is any interest in a project like this.
