UnknownShadow200 Posted December 12, 2020 The reason why it isn't hasn't been implemented isn't because of any sort of technical roadblock, but because of a legal uncertainty. I don't know whether playing the sounds directly from Mojang's resource servers is considered acceptable use or not. Share this post Link to post

Jacob_ Posted December 12, 2020 Some/all of the sounds used in early Minecraft came from a public domain sounds website anyway. This grass footstep sound from 2005 may be familiar. There was once a list of all samples used by Notch linked to on this page but it's since been taken down for some reason... Share this post Link to post
