ClassiCube is the best game for your life, and here's why.

Recommended Posts

In this post I would like to share my thought about

ClassiCube as a game, and why it is perfect for people

who care about their time and life.

ClassiCube on Steam

Part 1: Modern games

Nowadays most of popular games are carefully designed to be addictive. Well, it's obvious, because people would not play them for hours if they weren't addictive. And it's easy to get addicted to some game, especially now, when gaming industry becomes leading. Behind all those beautiful graphics, engaging quests, multiplayer experiences, hides one simple rule: You get a task - You complete it - You get reward (increasing stats, currency, items, etc) - You get dopamine.

How are addictions formed? It's a simple habit loop:

First of all, you have a cue. It might be a computer with steam opened, a poster with your favourite video game character on your wall, or just a random thought in your head. Then comes craving: your brain remembers the dopamine that video game gives, so it starts to shot signals to your brain to make you sit and play. After that - response. You sit in front of your PC and launch that game. And lastly - reward: you get dopamine for completing tasks and seeing progress.

After going trough this loop a few times, your brain forms a habit.

Part 2: What's special about ClassiCube

In ClassiCube, only you decide what to do. I find myself and many other people finding ourselves playing ClassiCube and asking "Why do I even play it?", because, actually, there is no certain goal, ClassiCube as a game is pointless. And while for some it is a disadvantage, for others it is a great thing which gives them freedom. You can say the same about Minecraft, but, nowadays, with all those grindy SkyBlocks and leaderboard minigames, it loses its vibe of creativity and freedom. I find that this freedom makes ClassiCube the best type of rest, which won't load you with much information (like Netflix or YouTube).

The fact that ClassiCube is a full sandbox is the reason why it is so unpopular, so, to anyone who is wondering when would ClassiCube get popular: the answer is never (or only when our society reaches a sufficient stage of development).

Part 3: Instructions for the healthy use of ClassiCube

Rule 1: Don't grind.

While ClassiCube is a game full of freedom, some parts of it have that grind. For example, I met some people who were grinding for "/tops", or, for example, recently a server called "New Blood: Zombie Survival" had an update which brought levelling system to players. It made some people play just for the sake of that number before your username. Please, don't do that!

Rule 2: Search for new ways to play.

When you just join any ClassiCube server, you might think that the only thing to do on ClassiCube is building and socialising. But it's not just about it. Let me show you some examples:

- You can create custom models which might be as detailed as you want:

- You can create small schemes using door blocks:

- You can create adventure maps (a lot of examples on Not Awesome 2, like "Elysium" by Okias)

- Or you can even create a server on your own!

Rule 3: Limit your time spent in the game. It's easy to do just by setting a timer, and when the timer ends, just close the game and get back to work!

Conclusion

In conclusion I want to say that ClassiCube is very helpful for two things: creative skills and relaxation. It's perfect for both of these things, because it doesn't take much of your energy, doesn't gets you addicted and, at the same time, makes you a better creator.

That's it. Thanks for reading this short post,

stay creative and good luck on your way!

If this is the case then why do I have a playerdb with over ten thousand entries.
